And you get to stay practically at the park’s doorstep in the fishing village of Teluk Melano – a mere three hours from Kuching city by van and motorboat.
Gazetted in 1994, it is Sarawak's latest addition to its string of national parks and also the smallest, covering an area of only 13 sq. km.
How to get there
By Road
It's about a 2.5-hour drive from Kuching to the marked turn-off. From here, the park is accessible by road via Lundu and Sematan. From Sematan, proceed by boat to Tanjung Datu. The whole journey
